Laura Hernandez, CPSS

My name is Laura Hernandez and I am of Mexican nationality, I have 3 children, 2 girls and a boy, I am the third of six siblings, and all my family lives in Mexico City except 2 of my children, I have been married for 15 years, my husband is from Salvador. As a Latina I continue to preserve my culture and my roots by honoring my country. My intention is to cut those chains by working very hard on my beliefs and be part of the change for my next generations. I can’t change the world, but I can change my world and make a difference.

Something that I am very passionate about is practicing yoga, I am an instructor, I like to read, practice meditation, I like nature, going for walks in the summer, planting vegetables and taking care of my small garden.

I work at LBHS as a facilitator for mental and emotional health and substance use recovery support groups, I teach a yoga class 1 time a week, I recently became a CPSS and am serving as a support for our Latino community. I also work cleaning offices and I dedicate myself to making handmade oils, soaps, candles, sprays made by myself and harvesting all the organic herbs to make my products.
