Adult Peer Support
Through the assistance of a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), who is a trained and certified person in long-term recovery with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use, individuals receiving peer support will be able to work on specific goals related to their recovery and receive support and guidance by someone who has gone through a similar experience.
Our Peer support program is an important pathway to the recovery process for adults who are facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders. At Latino Behavioral Health Services, we understand the impact that peer support can have on the path to healing. We firmly believe in the transformative potential of peer support and the strength of peer connections. We invite adults to embrace this invaluable resource as an integral part of their journey towards enhanced well-being and recovery. Your journey matters, and we are here to provide unwavering support every step of the way.
Peer support is an accessible and cost-effective support program, available in both Spanish and English, specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of adults.

How to get started
During this initial consultation, our intake specialist will carefully assess your case to determine the most suitable course of action. Depending on your needs, this may involve therapy, peer support services, or a combination of both.
Peer Support helps many clients with grief from separation or loss, parents divorcing, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, and other problems.
Peer Support Cost
At LBHS, we believe that everyone should have access to quality mental health services, regardless of their financial circumstances. That’s why we offer a flexible sliding scale fee structure for Peer Services. This means that the cost of therapy is based on income. LBHS also takes into consideration familial extenuating circumstances to ensure that our services remain affordable for all. In addition to our sliding scale fees, we provide scholarship opportunities for those who may require further financial assistance. Scholarships are available, and individuals are encouraged to apply for these programs to help cover the cost of peer support sessions. New clients will be sent the sliding scale/scholarship application in preparation for their intake appointment.
We are proud to accept Medicaid as a means of payment for our services. This commitment to accessibility ensures that individuals who qualify for Medicaid can access our peer support programs without any financial barriers. Our mission is to make mental health support as accessible as possible, and we are dedicated to working with our clients to find the best payment options for their needs.
