LBHS offers the following free and low cost classes in Spanish and English.
Peer to Peer
Peer to Peer” is a free NAMI course consisting of 8-10 sessions by and for adults living with the challenges of a mental or emotional condition. This educational program offers an environment that focuses on recovery.
Progression
Progression” is a free NAMI course for young people between the ages of 13 and 18 who are dealing with a mental or emotional condition. The name, “Progression,” alludes to its purpose of empowering young people with information and tools to advance towards their dreams and goals.
Family to Family
Family to Family” is a free NAMI course of 12 sessions for family members, partners, friends, and loved ones of adults living with a mental or emotional condition.
Emotional intelligence
Emotional intelligence is a free 6-week prevention program for children from 6 to 12 years of age whose parents and siblings are enrolled in progressions and/or basics. This program teaches children about how to talk about and handle their emotions.
Basics
Basics is a free NAMI course of 6 sessions designed for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents who live with emotional or behavioral difficulties.
CRAFT
CRAFT is a family support group/class from USARA. CRAFT is free for family members and friends concerned about someone close to them who lives with a substance use disorder.
